The book is divided into thirteen chapters. Each chapter consists of two facing pages, with the exceptions of Chapter 1, which is an introductory chapter of only one page and Chapter 2 of three pages. The thirteen chapters are: TA throw-away world; Dumping or disposal; Using things sensibly; Dump it - or recycle it?; Preventing pollution; From old to new; Nothing lasts for ever; Recycling paper - and saving trees; Recycling plastics - problems and possibilities; From rags to riches; Energy from rubbish?; Recycling at home; and The Green family. These thirteen chapters are followed by a map and, as with other Factfiles books, some exercises and glossary.
The language, as one would expect with a Stage 3 book, is quite simple, the only difficult feature being the large number of peoper nouns, unavoidable in a book introducing recicling. Sentences tend to be quite shote and simple . For example, the 7 sentences on page 2 have the following lengths (number of words): 10, 13,15, 6, 15, 19, 3, 5, 12, 4, 10, 17, 14, 11, 11, 18, 15, 4, 12, 11, 26, 9, 8, 15, 10, 8, 18, 12 and 18. 12.03 words per sentence. 221
Please be more careful with the titles of books. You've got the title wrong in this post and the previous one.
