MR6 Peter Pan

“Peter Pan” is an animation movie. This is a representative movie of Disney. It was released in 1953. This work is loved by everyone as a musical too.Peter Pan lives in Neverland. He is an eternal boy, and he stays as a child forever. He is in an existence like a dream for children. He has an adventure with Tinker Bell who is a fairy. One day, he lost his shadow. He likes the stories that Wendy tells. Wendy always talks about Peter Pan’s stories. Peter has listened to her talking in secret in the past.
And he was found by her. Wendy and his brothers can fly by the powder of Tinker Bell, and Peter takes them Neverland. In Neverland, Captain Hook waits for an opportunity to kill Peter. Hook hates Peter because he lost his right arm to a crocodile when they had a battle. I watched this movie after a long time. Peter Pan is a world of dream for children  because you can fly by the powder of fairies. I like Smee the best of all character becausehe is such a cute and obedient character. He is a villain but he blunders and you can’t hate the guy. And Tink is lovely character too. She loves Peter Pan, so she envied and was spiteful Wendy. However she is a key person who helps everyone at the end. I like some scenes. The scenes are when the crocodile can’t eat Captain Hook at the last moment. There are two of these scenes. It is very interesting. Hook is very foolish. Smee helped him, Smee often blunders but he is very important person for him. I like the scene where Peter Pan helps Wendy. This scene shows imminent danger! Wendy is brave too. I thought that she believed that Peter came for help and she jumped off the sea. Peter is a child but very cool boy. 303/12946

eternal 0

Do you know the movie, "Eternal 0". This movie is publishing now. It is one of the movie in the news. I went to watch it with my family on New Year's Day, because my grandmother came to stay here then and I can watch it only 1000 yen by the day is Movie's day. "Eternal 0" is the story about  a Japanese man of a special attack corps when the war happened. There are many old people that came to watch the movie. I think that they have miserable expeience, maybe. I couldn't watch it without tears. The cast is very splendid. The hero, Kyuzou Miyabe, is Junichi Okada of V6 that it is a Johnny's group. A part of his grandchild, Kentaro Saeki is Haruma Miura. He is a  young, popular actor. Theoriginal woek is written by Naoki Momoda.
The story started from that Kentarou and his sister, Keiko know their true grandfather. Their grand father, Miyabe died by suicide attack. Keiko is a free writer, and she ask Kentarou to search about him, and they know the truth that it happened for Miyabe. They asked former navy veterans about him. One man said, Miyabe is call "He is a cicken.".  Miyabe is  navy air force soldier, and he has splendid technique, but he was frugal with his  life more than anything. In Japan of those days, it is not permissibly. Kentarou heard that and he lost will power for searching him. However, he loves his family so he didn't want to die. Kentarou heard that Miyabe apply for the special attack corps hisown. Why? Does he value life? Kentarou express doubt.

This story is showing the misery of war. "For my country!". I don't know the meaning of the words, but people live at that time had to said it. Miyabe is not a cicken. His way of life is very cooler than anyone. He actually is strong and kind. I think that everyone have to watch this movie, and we never repeat the same things.
And, the acting abilities of Junichi Okada and Haruma Miura. I was moved.

My teachers

I talk to about my respect two people. They are both teacher. First, Ms. Araki is my teacher of the instrumental music club when I was fourth and fifth year student in elementary school. Every student likes her very much. Ofcorse, I like her very much!She is very cheerful and kind. Her special ferture is big voice. Her smile is exceptionally!! But when she gets angry, she is very formidable. When the students do all kinds of mischief, she always scolded! Then I dislike that. I think now it is teacher’s love for children. She loves music and us. She is a little a famous conductor in teacher of music. She taught us the pleasure of music and she made wonderful music with us. Every student who she taught music loves music & her. I don't know what she dose now, I would like to see her again. 
Second, Mr. Tanaka is my teacher of Japanese when I was third year student in high school. He is smart and funny. He became a popular person because his sunny personality made us fun!! He was our good adviser. When I lost my course, he helped me. We consult our course after graduation and human relations. He tried to understand our feelings at any time. He always cheer for us! He likes students, and the students also like him. They are wonderful people. I became a person like them.

conclusion of EFL education

I focused on English education in Japan and Switzerland. English is recognized as an important language all over the world. Japan is no exception, and problems about English education have been thought since long ago and Japanese education is changing gradually. However there is attachment to mother tongue or bad environment for English education, and English education is still backward in Japan.

English education is concerned with surrounding environment or culture in each country deeply. Switzerland is a nice environment for English. It is important how to do early stage of English learning, but it is important that students can use English and become intimate English in their environment too.

Although the English environment and education are very different, Japan and Switzerland have the same problem about their mother tongues. They both work to improve English education while supporting the mother tongue. 142/12036

EFL education

This is my report about EFL education in Swetzerland and Japan.

Today, English is the most studied international language all over the world. In Japan, English is regarded as important and in Japanese elementary schools, weekly　English classes (fifth and sixth grades) have been implanted since 2011.

Worldwide, Japanese people are considered to have low-level abilities in English and this is generally true. Countries that have already introduced mandatory English classes from elementary school are common. They can study English from a young age, and many people can speak English fluently as an adult. In short, Japan is falling behind other countries in English education.

How do other countries teach English? Switzerland is known as a “bilingual country”. English education starts from grades two or three (depending on the states).　 This paper is about English education in Japan and Switzerland, the differences in thinking and the levels of English education Switzerland and Japan. Comparing with Switzerland, this paper will discuss problems of the present early English education in Japan.

 

1 English education in Japan

In 2002, English education started in Japanese elementary schools. It is later than other countries. The Ministry of Education published “A strategic concept for development of Japanese that can use English” in 2002 and support of English conversation activities of elementary school in “the action plan for Japanese that can use English” in 2003. English activities were adopted in “periods for integrated study” and enforced ALT activity for students to get to know English better by songs or games and so on (Hayashi, 2007, p. 95), The coexistence of different culture, civilization or the international cooperation for the sustainable development is required for the globalization of social or economy. Hayashi (2007, p. 94) said that it is important that children feel foreign language or to be fond of foreign life or culture as part of the international understanding education.

In spring, 2011, English education curriculum finally was introduced as compulsory education. This was for the fifth and sixth grades of all Elementary school students. Students need 35 credits for a year. The aim of English education in elementary school is to advance English skill like phonetic sounds, conversational expression, grammar through English communication activity or interaction with foreigner like ALTS (Assistant Language Teachers). At the elementary school phase, children can take phonetic sounds flexibly and are more proactive in their communication to promote better international understanding (Ministry of education website). The merits are mastering pronunciation and heightened effect of English education after junior high school.

However, there are problems. There are many difficult points for English education to be put into effect uniformly from elementary school level. ALTs and the teachers in charge should have English ability to lead or this activity may increase the number of people who hate English and so on. Japanese future will relate how to overcome such problems.

3. English Education in Switzerland

Switzerland is a nation where many languages are spoken. The educational systems in each state are different. In this country, there are many people that can speak 3 or 4 foreign languages. The languages in daily use by Swiss residents (1990) are German (72%), French (33%), Italian (14.5%), English (10.9%), Romance language (0.9%) and other (11.2%) (La Suisse 1997, p. ). English speakers are increasing, and 15% of workers use English in occupational environments. As Swiss industry changes from primary industry to service industry or sightseeing, English use has magnified.

The spread of English is also concerned with society and culture. In Switzerland the use of many languages means that social differences of linguistic groups are big even if they are in the same language zone. English is acceptable as an equally distant language, so many English expressions are used frequently in the posters, signs, television advertising, etc.

The compulsory education is 9 years from 6 years old in every state. Language study is trilingual. They study German, French, Italian and the Romance language as minority languages. The second language of Swiss people is French in German block and German in French or Italian block. From the first grade of elementary school, the second language is a required subject because Swiss official languages are German, French and Italian. English is a required subject from 7th grade. (Hirao, 2000 p.170)

However, some areas in Switzerland also want to implement “an early stage of English learning”. Kobayashi (1998, p. 125-126) said that in Switzerland, second language education is compulsory subject from elementary education, but they attach greater importance to English than Italian which is an official language. So it is a problem to add an early stage of English learning to the previous second language education.

I like the pictures of the story. It is very cute! The dragons of the story aren't scary.
The three little dragons are very cute! I think they are very lonely. So, they wanted parents. They are children, so their questions are very pretty! I think the knight cut out for a knight, because he is too kind. However, I like his character. Maybe, the dragons were very happy because the knight are came the cave for them.The knight was very tired, but he visit their and he took care of them. He is a good Knight!! 181/11124

BR14 Snake Camp

Snake Camp is a series one of A Stepping stone book.
This story's heto is Stevie. He goes to camp for that he learns "Viper".  He feel confident that Viper is the name of a brnd new software program, but Viper is about the snake. He didn't like snakes at all. Jordan Jacoby, his new friend love snakes. he teaches about snakes for Stevie. He didn't want to touch snakes, so he told a lie. However, he was no longer fraid of snake after the camp.
I don't like snake too like him. So, I can't believe that story. He grew up through this camp.However if there is a opportunity that I touch snakes, the images of snake may changed. I don't know that... I thought that it is important to try things I didn't like. 168/10943

When I was a child, I played detective, but Nate really solves the cases. If he is my friend, I  always depend on him. In this book, he teach us how to be a detective. "The story of Frying" is  in serious two of Usborn Young readeing. This book is made from chapter1~6. This story is wrriten about the histries of planes.
I had seen planes make some shapes by cloudsof white smoke n TV dorama "Sora tobu Kouhoushitsu". I remember that it is very cool.  I think that flying like bards is dream for everyone. In thepast, Many persons invented many kinds of things for frying. I know that Wilbur and Orville Wright were brothers who lived in America. They are very famous, but other people that tryed to invnt  like planes aren't known in world. it are not only planes, there are balloons, helicopters, hang gliders... etc. They have good points each other. People that had dreams tried by repeated experimentation, so there are our lives now. Accordions

 Do you know accordion? This is the musical instrument. Last time, "coba" appear on the TV show "Senpai ROCK YOU". He is a very famous person as an accordion player in the world. When I was an elementary scool student, I had played it. I was in a music club. So, I felt a longing for it! Today, I tell you how to play accordions. It is unexpectedly difficult. First, you must let the air out of bellows in the left-hand side. Then, you must support the accordion with your knee. Next, you strike  the keys of it. But you coldn't play the accordion at just striking. At the same time, you need to pull the bellow and push it with your left hand.Just then you can play the accordion. You can play the beautiful sounds on your how to push or pull the bellow. "coba" play it alone, but I like play it with many person. When many sounds fall on, the melody is wonderful. This instrument is deep. 172/10434

This story is about animals was used in war. I was surprised that many kinds of animal was used as  war potential. for example, cats, dogs, monkeys, mules, lions, dolphins... I didn't know that Alexander tried to tame horeses and successed. He is the greatest military leaders in history. Human and horses or dogs live together in Japan from way back. About war, we heared the things that human died, we can't hear that animals died much. Animals help human, but what can human do in war? They are good friends for us, so I think that we give many love. Animals are clever, but I can't believe that using them as armies. We must appliciate for animals, they support us all of time. They love human and we must love them too. 173/10262

Minnesota

Last month, I got a e-mail from host family in Minnesota. I feel  a longing for them.  This is impression and letter to host family when I stayed in Minnesota.

I had a grat time for a month in Minnesota. It was exciting every day for me! Minnesota is my first foreign place, so I was really nervous when I arrived here. At first, I couldn't talk well, but the people here are always kind and cheerful! I was relived. I didn't talk in English by myself before I came here, but I can try to talk in English with people even if I am mistaken. It wasn't only studying English. I learned many important things and I had many unforgettable experiences that I can't in Japan. It was surprised that many things. For example, everything is big, , many sugar, the area of basements or garden and seeing wild squirrel... etc. In the classes I learned history of Minnesota, cultures, education, wedding and adoption in the U.S. I wasmoved the best when I learned that there are many volunteers in the U.S.. I know people need support between people and I'm living a comfortable life. There are new encounters and I felt warmth of people. I think "I must study English more!" through this program. If I hadn't participated in program, I wouldn't have the feeling and I would regret. One month really flies. I had enjoyed! I'm lucky for coming to Minnesota.

Takuma Festival

It happened a little while ago but I talk you about Takuma festival in November today.
This event is the last for my circle life. I love my circle, so I didn't want to retire. Our circle "Asunarou" sells rice croquettes every years. The flavors are 3 types, Tsunamayo,  cheese in chicken rice and pork kimchi in this year.
I hadn't had enough sleep lately in this term because preparations of next day and we made retire video prodece and message cards. This work is for our juniors. It is very hard but it is full 3days. I spent with my friends, and I had smiled all the  time. Rice croquettes sold well, and sold out for 2days of 3 days.
My juniors make a video for us. We watch it the previous evening a last day.  I was deeply moved because it brought back a lot of memories.
When  retire ceremony of a last day, I or some friends sobbed because our juniors gave us bunches of flowers and appreciative words. I had many things that I want to say, but I couldn't said that. I am deeply appreciative of the members of Asunarou. I think that I have changed since I met everyone. I took part in many events like volunteer activity positively. My seniors listen to my troubles and took us out to play. My juniors are pretty like my little brothers or sisters. They called me "Miki-san" and  played with me, so I was really happy. And my friends the same grade as me ! We were together all the time. They existence like a family for me. The captain, Shohei is very moody but he always thinks about us. Kousei is funny and brightens up our heart. Sena do funny things suddenly and makes us laugh. Aya is a sharp tongued. Mizuho takes herself well by a camera. Mio loves sweets. Daiki always has books. Yuri  often has words with her mother. Yasushi said interesting things with expressionless face. Airi loves viennese. Kouzi work too hard. Haruka talks without reserve. Takamasa do his best by gag. Yuma is hot-cold personality type. Fumika is cute but she is a bit soft in the head. Sayuri is a little strange. They are very unique and very kind. They have beautiful heart. I respect them. I'm lucky girl because I spent with wonderful persons.  404/9342

My treasure

I’m going to talk about my treasure.

It is a good luck charms. 5 years ago, my mother made it for me to pass the entrance high school exam. Then, I felt down because I failed an exam of the high school of my second choice but I prepared for the exam my first choice. One day, My mother suddenly said, “Here you are.” and she gave me this. She said “You can do it! You can pass the exam because you have it.” I was surprised and cried with happiness. Since then I always took this. I studied more. As a result, I passed an exam of the school of my first choice! I thank for her. When I have it, I can relax. Even now, I take it when I have important scene. I love my mother! 138/8938

My mother and father got iPhone 5c. The coler is White. All members of my family have iPhone in this time. I have iPhone 5 and my brother has iPhone 5s. My parents use smartphons for the first time. New Year

A happy new year! I saw the old year out and the New Year's in with my friends  from high school. They are different university students each other, but I saw them occationally. We were badminton player when we were high school students. We went to Kengun Shrine. I saw the old year out with my friends for the first time. Every year, I spent with my family. There are many people in the shrine. Everyone counts down in unison.  In the moment that new year began, we said "A Happy New Year!!". I thank god to spent with safety the last year and make a wish of this year. Do you know proper to visit a shrine? A basic mannar of prayer is twice bowing, twice clapping and one time bowing. Bowing is an angle of 90 degrees. After that, we went to my friend Mikiko's house.  we compare notes for the first time in a while till the down.
This year is important year for me because I should decide job for life. I would be received an unofficial job offer. And I have a dream. So, I labor diligently for my life and my family. 201/8724

Christmas

Christmas is Christ's birthday but Japanese enjoy the day without caring about it.  Me too. I spent Christmas day with Aya, Sena, Kousei and Yuma. They are good friends. We battled by making a cakes! Introduce myself

 I was born in Minamata on August 28th,1992. I live in Kumamoto for 21 years. My mother named me Miki. I have never had a severe injury till now. When I was a child attending kindergarten, my left hand got caught in the door of my father's car. I screamed!! My father was surprised! So he take me to a hospital. Luckily I was not seriously injury. But this happening is my best accident! I was admitted to an elementary school when I was seven years old. I was in a music club ten years ago. I like music, and I can play the piano. I practice hard everyday! Our club took part in a musical contest in Kumamoto every years. We got a gold prize 3 times!! I jumped for joy when we heared! I will never forget that days. And when I was junior highschool, I joined a badminton club. I hesitated wind music club and badminton club but I wanted to do a sport! When I was third grade, I made efforts to study for high school exam. And, I passed it! I admitted to Daini High School when I was 15 years old. I joined a badminton club. I could make inportant friends there. I seriously quarrel with my friends. Even now, we see occationally. And I entered Kumamoto Gakuen University. I joined a volunteer circle "Asunarou". I could make important memories with circle members. I think that I am lucky girl because I am blessed with good friends, family and surroundings. I should give back for them. Taking Photos

My hobbies are taking photos and making albums. I have a degital camera. My parents give me it when I entered Kumamoto gakuen University. I like taking photos of my friends and my family. When they are smile, I feel happy! So I like photos. Recentry, I heared that "Camera girl" is in fashion. I wan't t new signal lens reflex camera.It is so cool. Making album is fun too! When I make an album I remember memories that my feeling and doing. Some years later, I will look them. Then I will be happy! I would be make many memories with friends still more. My brother

I am going to introduc about my older brother. His name is Naoki Maeda. He is 24 years old. He is 5 years older than I am. He is 26 years old. His birthday is August 26th. My birthday is August 28th, so we are celebrateed together every year. He is a businessman. He works at the insurance company. He lives in Chiba. So, I can't see him much. He was a Hosei university student in Tokyo. He lives alone for five years. He likes baseball very much!! He played it when he was a elementary school student, a junior high school student and a high school student for ten years. His position is a pitcher. My father, my mother and I often used to go to cheer for him. When he was in a little league team, his team has gone to the national little league meet in Tokyo . I often guarreled with my brother when we were children but I was always defeated... we are a good sibling now. When he was 19years old, he had disease, so he is restricted foods even now. He cannot eat cakes, sweets, meat etc. But he is very fine! My mother always worries him. Of course, I worry too. He is kind! I like him! 215/8024

My father

I am going to introduce about my father. His name is Takashi Maeda. He is 55 years old. His birthday is May 7th. He has a lot of hobbies. He likes fishing, playing baseball, playing golf, watching sports, the the hot springs and trips! He often takes my family some places. My family has gone to Kagoshima, Saga, Nagasaki, Miyazaki, Oita, Tokyo, Chiba, Okinawa...etc...by trip. He is gentle but he is active! He works hard. He usually gives me the things I want to try! He always cheers for me. I thanks for him, but I can't say my feeling easily. I will try to say the feelings when I come back home. I hope I can say it without objecting... He lovs my mother. I think he can't live without her.They always go to many places together. Last month, They visited to Yakushima in Kagoshima. Everyone says me, "Your parents are friendly." I think that they are very nice couple too!! I want to be like them in the future. I have to look for my partner like my father early! I am not a father complex!! lol 189/7809
